Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mop are becoming more capable. They have passed our tests for cleaning, and are able to handle various floors. Find models that allow you to select between several modes, utilize their charging docks to self-empty and clean up the stairs.
Many of the best models work with smartphones. Look for an app that allows you to save maps, schedules, and choose cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gloss black and gunmetal Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It uses lidar for navigation making maps of rooms and floors.
When I tried the S1, it was quick to map our downstairs, which has Linoleum flooring in the kitchen/dining room and bathrooms, plus carpeting of medium-pile as well as a large area rug. It was able to drive close to walls without colliding with them, and even managed to drive across thresholds that were raised in the room without problem, although it sometimes had trouble navigating down stairs in a single pass. The S1 did a good job cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and raised itself when it came to carpets or rugs.
The docking station of the S1 automatically empties its trash bin and fills its onboard water tank with clean, ozonated water before each mopping session. The dock also adds a cleaning solution to the water for deep cleaning. The S1's tank of water holds enough water for about twelve cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure that it's operating efficiently. In order to do this, you'll have to rinse out the water tank that is dirty regularly to keep it from becoming clogged. You will also need to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to avoid them becoming blocked by dirt or dust. Overall, the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-1 robot mop and vacuum combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option for your cleaning requirements. Its robot vacuum has 8,700Pa suction power and comes with many innovative features including voice control and smart path planning that cleans furniture and avoids obstacles. Its mopping capability is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor rather than simply drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned and dried in the base station as required.
This robot combo is easy to setup and use, with a simple interface that guides you through the procedure. It also includes a hand vacuum that can be utilized to clean those difficult to reach areas that the robot is unable to reach. There are also two water tanks that can be automatically filled or empty. It has a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a great vacuum cleaner. It has a powerful suction which can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots have difficulty with. Its navigation capabilities are pretty good, although it can get stuck on small mats and rugs at my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping is quite excellent, too, with two spinning mop pads that actually lift and scrub the floors instead of just dragging the pad over it. The mops can be cleaned using heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops can also be filled at the top of the station if required.
3. Dreame X40 Ultra
Dreame's X30 Ultra robot vacuum and mop was launched earlier this year. But their new flagship model comes with even more impressive features. It has outstanding cleaning performance and hands-off maintenance making it a top contender for our best mop and vacuum robots. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart recognition and a longer side brush will give you a thorough, custom-designed clean.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, getting rid of both large and fine debris. It works equally well on carpets and hard floors. It also cleaned our test's dirtiest areas well, avoiding tangled pet hairs and other dirt. The sweeping performance of the machine is enhanced by a sidebrush that automatically extends to get into areas that are difficult to reach and a mop pad that extends along baseboards.
Its navigation system is nimble that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It is able to move from one room to the next without having to change direction. This is a great feature for homes with a lot of rooms. Its obstacle avoidance is less advanced than the ones of other competitors, and leaves a huge margin over obstacles. This could lead to missing spots.
Its app has a streamlined user interface that is designed to be user-friendly for both new and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings, alter the suction power and mopping settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and much more. It is accessible through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to keep an eye on its progress from any location. You can even use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get real-time video monitoring. But, you'll require a stable Wi-Fi connection in order to operate it via the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
Robot vacuums are great at removing dirt and debris but they can't reach every speck of dust. That's why it's important to use your regular vacuum at least once every week, particularly to pick up dust in corners and on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop robot that was designed specifically for this purpose. It is simple to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and also works with Alexa or Apple Siri.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive models in the S-series from the company, which includes the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensor, but it saves cost by eliminating the mopping functionality and by using a cheaper plastic body.
The Q5 is one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've seen at this price, despite not being able to wipe your floor. It has a suction power of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system, so you don't have to empty the bin manually every time. It also comes with a smart app that lets you select your floor's type and schedule cleanings, and an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system that allows hands-free operation.
The mops also stand out with their 2700Pa capacity to combat pet hair and dirt on carpets and hard flooring. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't remove cables or kitty litter, which is no surprise since it does not include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we have tested. best budget robot vacuum utilizes a unique system to map your home this allows it to get into places that other vacuums cannot reach. The K10 Plus also collects more dust in the bin, which means you don't have to empty it as often. It also has washable filters which reduces the cost. The robot can also recognize carpets and increase suction if needed. The app also allows you to mark areas that you want it to stay clear of and is a great feature.
